On May 10, 2025, Ms. Muscle and comrades toured 6 monuments in Manhattan memorializing historical women. At each monument, we made a ceremonial offering of flowers. Through commentary and songs, we invoked the voices and values of the historic women,

We started at Swing Low: Harriet Tubman Memorial.

As part of each flower ceremony, Anna Gollub sang her original hymn "More than a monument" with lyrics specific to the monument.

Making our way to the Women's Rights Pioneers Monument in Central Park. The whole tour was about 6 miles. Some people walked the entire route, while others joined at a monument along the way.

Gathering at the Women’s Rights Pioneers Monument, which depicts Sojourner Truth, Susan B. Anthony, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton.


Their work led to the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in 1920, granting women the right to vote.
